Hey, I’m Keely
—your writer—
(but I answer to Kelly, Kiley, and Kailey at the coffeeshop)
My mission is to help founders like you bring the soul of your story, the vision of your brand, and the heart of your mission to the page, so you can serve the people who need you most.
With a background in strategic communications, cross-functional collaboration, and copy branding, I help service-based businesses shape their brand voice, expertly craft their copy, and optimize their online presence so they can reach their target audience.
Here’s how
-
I discover what it is about YOU that's "in it" for THEM in a way that respects your audience. I don't call it "conversion copy." I call it problem-solving.
-
I want to hear the cadence, inflections, and phraseology that make you sound like you.
-
A lot of them. And sometimes, they're unexpected (er, fun?), so your you-ness and your "isms" BECOME the fabric of the copy.
-
I scribble furiously with your unique expression in mind, so you can rest assured that every word echoes your voice - not mine.
-
Because trusting me with your voice is a privilege I don't take for granted, and amplifying the beautiful work you're doing brings me so much joy.
The girl behind the keys
1.
My first writing gig was at age 6. I co-wrote a Christmas song with my dad, and it was played on the radio — making me the envy of my classmates for precisely 8 minutes.
2.
My mom’s a psychologist, so I view people analytically and can often slip into therapeutic-flavored conversations that go from chit-chat to tell-all in no time. Super helpful when empathizing with an audience and writing targeted copy. Mildly strange at dinner parties.
3.
Storytelling comes very naturally to me. I went through two years at summer camp under the alias, “Tina Lethin,” because people were always mispronouncing my name. I must have really sold it, because even my award ribbons are under my fantasy handle!
4.
I walked out of my SATs — but not before completing the writing portion, because, nerd.
5.
On a whim, I enrolled in a year-long culinary program at Le Cordon Bleu. I loved it. But — true to form — I ended up writing a food blog, not in the kitchen.
6.
I’m a born and raised Valley Girl. Still here. Still tewtally love it.
